Can a drunk or intoxicated person pray?
Answer
An intoxicated person who can speak properly is allowed to pray initially. A drunk person who cannot speak properly without stammering, even with a siddur, is not allowed to pray until the effects of the alcohol wear off. However, he may recite Birkat Hamazon and other blessings.
