Is it possible and how can one fulfill the mitzvah of Mishloach Manot before Purim?

Regarding the mitzvah of Mishloach Manot, it should be done on the day of Purim itself. However, some say that it is possible to give the Mishloach Manot as a deposit before Purim, and the recipient will acquire it on the day of Purim.
