Koshering a Gas Stove for Passover

Hello.
Is it preferable to kosher the gas stove and grates, or if possible, is it better to replace them?
Answer
According to the instructions of the Gaon, Rabbi Ovadia Fried, shlita:
Some are meticulous to designate a special gas stove for Passover, and at the very least, use special grates for Passover.
