Koshering a Utensil with a Silicone Part
Question
A "samovar" used on Shabbat on the hot plate, with chametz placed on top in a utensil for heating, and it is possible that some sauce dripped here and there on the outside of the samovar. The samovar is made of aluminum, and I have boiled it. The tap is mostly metal, but inside there is a silicone part that actually seals the tap and is in direct contact with the water. The question: Is koshering by boiling effective for silicone?

Hello,
It is not possible to kosher a utensil that has a part made of rubber or silicone.
