Covered Tripod on Passover
Question
It is written regarding a tripod that covering it is effective, but I know that a forbidden utensil cannot be used at all. Is there a source that covering is effective, allowing the utensil to be used again?

The halacha is that a utensil that has absorbed a prohibition does not transfer it to another utensil without liquid.
Therefore, if the tripod is clean, with aluminum foil on it, and there is no liquid between them [-and even if there is liquid, but there is none between the pot and the foil ], there is no absorption into the pot placed on the tripod.
