Yeast that Passed Over Passover
Question
We bought dry yeast for baking bread and found out that they were not sold to a non-Jew at all (from the Shamir company). Was it permissible during Passover and therefore permissible now?

Hello,
Yeast with the kashrut of the Edah HaChareidis does not raise concerns of chametz.
Yeast with other kashrut certifications may have chametz concerns in the coating.
Regarding chametz that passed over Passover, if there is no definite chametz, the product is not prohibited.
