Support for S'chach - Aluminum Pergola
Question
I am now moving into a new apartment. The contractor made an aluminum pergola on the balcony. Regarding the sukkah, can I place the s'chach directly on the pergola since it is part of the house, or should I be stringent? Thank you very much.

According to the instructions of the Gaon, Rabbi Amram Fried, shlita, it is considered as a 'support' which is prohibited initially.
