Lighting Shabbat and Chanukah Candles: Which Comes First

Which candles are lit first: Chanukah candles or Shabbat candles?

Answer

First, Chanukah candles are lit. Even though the woman lights the Shabbat candles and the man lights the Chanukah candles.
