The Earliest Time to Light Hanukkah Candles

What is the earliest time one can light the Hanukkah candles?

Answer

In pressing circumstances, one may light the candles from Plag HaMincha. (However, care should be taken to ensure there is enough oil in the candle to burn until half an hour after the stars appear).
