Blessing for Lighting the Chanukiah by Proxy

Question

An elderly or simple-minded person, who does not know about Chanukah at all, should they recite the blessings if they have an agent lighting for them?

Answer

They do not recite the blessing, even if the sender is present, as the sender is not obligated.
