Accepting a Fast
Question
Hello,
I forgot to accept the fast (a voluntary one, such as Shovavim) during Mincha, and I am praying Maariv before sunset. Is there a preference to accept the fast during the Maariv prayer since it is during prayer and still daytime, or since it is a night prayer, is it considered night?

Accept it upon yourself before Arvit.
You can accept the fast until the end of the day.
