Organizing an Event on the Days That are Close to the Tenth of Tevet
Question
I set the date for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah on the evening of the 8th of Teves (Which is the night of 9 of Teves). Someone told me there might be an issue with celebrating a simcheh on that date, is that true?

There’s no issue with that date.
(Although this day is mentioned in Megillas Ta’anis as a fast day, marking when the Torah was translated into Greek, but it was not established as a day of mourning in the Poskim.)
