Bariatric Surgery Concerning the Tenth of Tevet

I underwent bariatric mini-gastric bypass surgery a year and a half ago. Do I need to fast on the Tenth of Tevet?

The usual instruction in this situation is not to fast.
However, if everything is fine, you may try to fast.
