Migraine - Fast of Gedaliah

Question

Is a person who suffers from migraines obligated to fast on the Fast of Gedaliah?

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

A migraine with severe pain that weakens the entire body exempts one from the fast.

If this is the stage before the migraine, and taking a pill will help prevent it from developing, one should take a pill and continue fasting as much as possible.
