Pain After a Fast
Question
Shalom, honorable Rabbi,
I wanted to ask: I suffer greatly after fasts. I have severe stomach pains after a fast, which almost always incapacitate me the following day. Am I still obligated to fast as usual on all the fasts that are not Tisha B’Av or Yom Kippur? Should I try anyway? The suffering comes after the fast, not during the fast itself.

Answer
Shalom and blessings
It is most likely that there is some inflammation in the stomach causing this.
For now, do not fast, and seek medical evaluation.
