Iron Deficiency During a Fast

Question

Does a 14-year-old boy who has fainted in the past and has a history of iron deficiency need to fast on the 17th of Tammuz?

Answer

Shalom u’vracha.

If it is known that he still has an iron deficiency, he should not fast.
