Mistakenly Drinking Tea on a Fast Day

Question

If I accepted upon myself yesterday at Minchah a Behab fast, and in the morning I mistakenly drank tea, if I complete the fast until evening, may I recite "Aneinu" in the Minchah prayer when praying individually?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

In general, drinking hot tea does not invalidate the possibility of reciting “Aneinu,” since one does not usually drink from it an amount that cancels the fast. This refers to “melo lugmav” [approximately 40 cc] within the time span of “kdei shetiyat revi’it.”
