Days of Mourning for One Moving from Place to Place

A person from Israel who flies abroad immediately after Passover until after Shavuot, when do the days of mourning during the Counting of the Omer apply to him?

If there is a fixed custom in the place he arrives at, he should be stringent according to the local custom.
If there are different customs, as is common in Israel, he should follow his own custom.
