Renewing a Wig After Lag BaOmer

Is it permissible to renew a wig after Lag BaOmer during the counting of the Omer?

According to the custom of Ashkenazim in Israel, where mourning lasts until Lag BaOmer, it is permissible to renew after Lag BaOmer, even significant clothing upon which the blessing 'Shehecheyanu' is recited.
