Music During Sefirat Ha'omer

Question

Can I play music as a one man band during the Omer?

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

It is forbidden to play live music during the mourning period of the Omer.

It is permitted, however, to play music if it one’s source of income. For example, one may take a job making music for non-Jews.
