Priority for exiting and entering the Beit Midrash

Question

Shalom,
One person wants to enter the synagogue and another wants to leave. Who has precedence?

Answer

Shalom u-vracha. 

The one entering goes first. 

Since entering and remaining in the synagogue are a mitzvah, whereas leaving it is not a mitzvah.
