A Guide Dog in the Synagogue

Question

A blind woman who is not observant asked the rabbi of the synagogue to come on Rosh Hashanah to pray in the synagogue, and to bring her guide dog into the women’s section. Is this permitted from the standpoint of the sanctity of the synagogue?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

She may bring the dog in for the purpose of being able to come to the prayer service.
