A disposable cup for hand-washing and Kiddush

Shalom u’vrachah, and mo’adim l’simchah. When there are only disposable cups, which is preferable for hand-washing and for a cup of blessing: a plastic cup or a cardboard cup?

Initially, there is no difference.
If it is used for extended use, such as several people washing their hands, a cardboard cup ceases to be watertight and is invalid. A plastic cup remains watertight and valid.
