Washing Hands on a Long Trip

Question

If one is traveling on a journey that is longer than 72 minutes and he has water, but he has nowhere to pour it, may one be lenient and rely on wrapping his hands?

Answer

Hello and blessings

If a solution can be found, such as washing his hands out the window, or collecting the water in a box and the like — he is obligated to wash his hands properly with water.

Only if there is no possibility whatsoever to wash — it is permitted to wrap his hands in a garment.
