What is the minimum length of the tzitzit threads including the windings and knots? And what is it without the windings and knots?
Answer
The measure is twelve thumb-breadths with the windings and knots, and eight thumb-breadths without them.
The measure of twelve thumb-breadths according to the Chazon Ish is approximately 30 cm, and according to the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Naeh, it is 24 cm.
