A Woman Wearing Tzitzit

Question

May an Ashkenazic woman, who has the practice of reciting a blessing over positive time-bound commandments, wear tzitzit and recite a blessing over them when she is alone at home, or is there still a concern of arrogance? This is referring to a righteous woman who wants to fulfill the mitzvah one time.

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

A woman is forbidden to wear tzitzit.

This is both because of arrogance and because of the prohibition of lo yilbash.

Source

Rema (Orach Chaim siman 17 se'if 2):
It appears like arrogance, and therefore they should not wear tzitzit.

And see Magen Giborim, who explains that with tzitzit of the kind that men wear, there is a prohibition of lo yilbash.
