A Woman Wearing Tzitzit

Question

May an Ashkenazi woman, who follows the practice of reciting blessings over positive time-bound commandments, wear tzitzit and recite a blessing over them when she is alone at home, or is there a concern of yohara even then? This refers to a righteous woman who wants to fulfill the mitzvah one time.

Answer

Hello and blessings

It is forbidden for a woman to wear tzitzit.

Both because of yohara, and because of lo yilbash.

Source

Rema (Orach Chaim siman 17 se’if 2):
It appears like yohara, and therefore they should not wear tzitzit.

See Magen Giborim, who explained that with the tzitzit that men wear, there is a prohibition of lo yilbash.
