Rabbeinu Tam Tefillin Placed in a Rashi Case
Question
I placed Rabbeinu Tam tefillin in a case that previously held Rashi tefillin because I didn't know it was prohibited. Now I have learned that it is forbidden to do so. This happened a long time ago. My question is, should I remove the Rabbeinu Tam tefillin from the case, or since they have been there for a long time, is there room to be lenient?

Even though the tefillin have been there for a long time, they need to be removed from there.
