Reciting Shema with Tefillin

Hello, dear Rabbi,
Is it obligatory to recite the Shema while wearing tefillin? Is it sufficient to remain with the tefillin for a few moments and nothing more? Also, regarding Rabbeinu Tam's tefillin, is it sufficient to remain for a few moments, or is it necessary to recite or study something while wearing the tefillin?

Hello,
It is customary to recite the Shema with tefillin, but it is not obligatory.
According to the law, once they are properly placed on the body, you have fulfilled the obligation.
