A Minyan in Which the Torah Was Not Read

Question

Yeshiva students prayed with a minyan in the yeshiva dormitory without a Torah scroll. Must they go after the prayer to the nearby synagogue to hear the Torah reading, or, since the Torah reading is an obligation upon the congregation, is there no need to do so?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

Since the Torah reading was not read in the minyan, they must go to a place where the Torah will be read.
