When the Congregation Does Not Pray Facing Jerusalem

Question

I pray in a synagogue where the Aron Kodesh and the congregation are not precisely facing Jerusalem. Should I pray in the direction the congregation is praying, or towards Jerusalem?

Answer

Pray in the direction of the congregation and slightly tilt your head towards Jerusalem.
