Reciting chapters of Tehillim aloud

Is it permissible to pray aloud an ordinary prayer, such as chapters of Tehillim, in a synagogue where there are other people with you?

From the perspective of the laws of prayer, there is no problem with this.
However, one should make sure that it does not disturb the people around you.
