Prayer Text for a Baal Teshuva
Question
A Baal Teshuva whose parents do not observe mitzvot, is he obligated to investigate the customs of his ancestors in previous generations and follow them, or can he choose a prayer text according to his preference?

Shalom u'vracha
One who does not have a custom from their parents may follow the customs of their ancestors in past generations or the customs of their rabbis.
