To Be Excused During The Shemoneh Esrey
Question
Good Erev Shabbat. If someone begins praying the Shemoneh Esrei with no need to use the bathroom, but during the prayer develops a strong need, may he stop in the middle to use the restroom and then continue from where he left off? Should he stop only after finishing a blessing, or even in the middle of a blessing, since one may not say God's name while needing the bathroom? After using the restroom, should he wash his hands before continuing, and should he recite Asher Yatzar before returning to the Shemoneh Esrei?
Answer
Thank you for your question.
If you cheked before Shemoneh Esrey that he did not need to go to the toilet then one should not stop in the middel of Shemoneh Esrey to be excused.
Wishing you all the best
