Reason for Exemption from Blessing when Defrosting Bread during a Meal

Question

Why does one who takes bread out of the freezer during a meal not bless it, whereas it is similar to buying bread during a meal, which requires a blessing?

Answer

Today, this is done during the meal because there is a possibility to heat it quickly.
