Order of Blessings in Birkat Hamazon

Question

Hello,  If someone, during Birkat HaMazon, got confused and, after the blessing of 'Al HaAretz', began with 'Baruch Atah Hashem Elokeinu Melech HaOlam' instead of 'Rachem Na', may he continue to the blessing of 'HaTov VeHaMeitiv'?In other words, is the order of the blessings in Birkat HaMazon mandatory?
