Activity While Hearing Kaddish

Question

While hearing Kaddish, is it permissible to engage in another mitzvah, such as giving tzedakah to someone who asks? And what is the law regarding removing tefillin and a tallit during Kaddish?

Answer

Shalom u’verachah

It is forbidden to engage in anything else, and one is obligated to listen and answer.

Even a mitzvah activity such as tzedakah is forbidden.
