Speaking After the Blessing of 'HaMapil'

Hello, can a person recite the blessing of 'HaMapil' knowing that they might speak for a few minutes afterward?

Answer

Hello, 

It is forbidden to speak after the blessing of 'HaMapil'.

Therefore, one should connect the blessing to sleep as closely as possible.
