Reciting a blessing over a food that was already covered by another blessing
Question
Hello, Rabbi. A person recited the blessing “Borei Pri Ha'etz” at home over an apple, and afterward wanted to eat a date and mistakenly recited the blessing over it again. He knows that one blessing covers all the fruits before him, but generally he does not have explicit intention at the time of the blessing to cover everything. Is the second blessing considered a blessing in vain?
Answer
Hello and blessings
This is a blessing in vain.
Because even without explicit intention, everything was covered by his blessing.
