He recited "Ha'adamah" over a biscuit

Question

I mistakenly recited the blessing of borei peri ha'adamah over a biscuit, whose blessing is borei minei mezonot. Do I need to recite the blessing again?

Answer

Shalom u'vrachah

The Rishonim disagree about this.

Therefore, if possible, he should fulfill his obligation through someone else.

If there is no one else reciting the blessing, he should not recite the blessing again.

The Kesef Mishneh (Berachot 4:6) wrote that one who recites borei peri ha'adamah over bread has fulfilled his obligation. The Birkei Yosef (siman 207) wrote in the name of the Ra'ah, the Ritva, and the Rosh that he has not fulfilled his obligation.
