Blessing on the ground instead of Mezonot

Question

If one recites the blessing 'Borei Pri Ha'adama' on food that requires the blessing 'Mezonot', has he fulfilled his obligation?

Answer

It is doubtful. In cases of doubt, blessings are not recited, as in cases of doubt regarding blessings, one should be lenient.
