With what to redeem a firstborn
Question
A redemption of the firstborn is being performed for someone who has returned to faith and was not redeemed. If there are no coins or silver grains, is it possible to perform it with equivalent value or banknotes?
Answer
According to the basic law, it is possible to perform it with equivalent value or banknotes, but the custom is to do it with actual money.
