Naming with the Name “Libi”
Question
Hello and blessings. Is it permissible to name a daughter “Libi,” in the sense of joy and thanksgiving to HaKadosh Baruch Hu, as in the verses “ליבי ובשרי ירננו” (“my heart and my flesh sing for joy”) and “אודה ה' בכל ליבי” (“I will thank Hashem with all my heart”)? Thank you very much.
Answer
Hello and blessings
It is preferable to give a name from Tanach, but there is no problem with giving a name that has a good meaning.
