A Girl’s Modesty When She Is Alone
Question
Is there a halachic issue with a teenage girl being alone in her room while dressed immodestly, such as in short pajamas or without a skirt? I heard that if there is no other person in the room and there are no sacred books there, there is no problem, but on the other hand, there is an idea of always being modest. What is the halachah in such a case? If a girl is alone in her room, without sacred books, dressed immodestly, is she committing a transgression?

Even when a person is alone in a room, one must be modest and not expose one’s body without need.
However, when there is a need, such as if one is doing so in order to get dressed, it is permitted.
This law applies to men as well: one should not expose the normally covered parts of the body without need.
