Clothing to the Knee

Hello and blessings, dear Rabbi,
I would like to know, my husband asked me to wear clothing that reaches the knee.
The question is, according to Halacha, is it sufficient for the clothing to cover the knee?

The clothing should be long enough to cover the knee in all situations. [Walking, sitting, climbing stairs, etc.]
