Hello, is it permitted to shave the mustache with a razor or a non-kosher electric shaver?

Hello,
It is forbidden to shave the sides of the mustache, but it is permitted in the middle of the mustache.
However, in practice, one should not shave even the middle of the mustache with a razor or a non-kosher electric shaver, because no one shaves the middle of the mustache while leaving hair on the sides.
