Repairing a Wig During the Mourning Period

Question

Is it permissible for a woman within the 30 days following her father's passing to send her wig for repair or renewal, and if it is forbidden, what is the law after the 30 days?

Answer

Greetings,
Repairing clothing is permissible during the mourning period. Therefore, it is permissible to send a wig for repair.
I am not sure what is included in 'renewing a wig'. If it only includes cleaning, refurbishing, and the like, it is permissible as mentioned above.
However, if it refers to creating a 'new' wig to a certain extent, according to Ashkenazi custom, it is forbidden until 12 months have passed [and it is possible that someone else will wear the renewed wig for a while, to nullify the pleasure of the renewal]. According to Sephardic custom, the prohibition is only until 30 days.
