Publishing Children's Pictures

Question

I am going to a photographer to take pictures of my children. She asks me if I consent to publish them, so as to let people get an impression and come to her? This is essentially an advertisement for her. Is there a concern of the evil eye in this? If there is no concern, does this also include publication in newspapers and websites?

Answer

Greetings,
I did not find a source for prohibition.
However, generally speaking, our sages said that a blessing is only found in something that’s hidden from sight.

Source

Tractate Berakhot, 8; tractate Bava Metzia, 42.
