Adjusting a Mechanical Clock on Shabbos
Question
Is it permissible to adjust a mechanical clock on Shabbos. I’m only talking about the winding of the spring and the like, without any electrical action?
Answer
This is forbidden, and there is a strong argument that it is prohibited by the Torah law.
