Listening to the Sound of Water Dripping on Shabbat
Question
We have a water fountain at home that drips water. The dripping sound is soothing. Sometimes the water runs out and the fountain needs to be refilled. Is there a problem with doing this on Shabbat, if everything is mechanical?
Answer
It is forbidden to refill water on Shabbat.
