Turning on Solar Lighting on Sabbath

Question

I have lights that are charged by sunlight in my yard, and they have a sensor that turns them on when someone passes by. They are not connected to electricity in any way. The question is, is it permissible to pass by them on the Sabbath?

Answer

It is forbidden to use these lights on the Sabbath, and it is forbidden to turn on the light by having the sensor sense that you passed nearby.
